Sally Cinamon - the Stone Roses

Anyone else think that the production on this song is terrible? I just don't think that the guitar sounds great on it. It should have been remixed while they were doing their debut album

    i haven't listened to them in a long time. i only have their best of anymore. the elephant stone remix is annoying, but other than that it's a damn good reminder of how brilliant they were.

    I think they were trying to sound a bit like Spacemen 3 on that one. Ever hear Spacemen 3?

    Never saw the fascination in this band, awful vocals and lame lyrics. Some of the music sounds okay and they do have a couple songs with some good melodies but they are just not my cup of tea and I see no reason why they should constantly be seen in best of lists.

    Never heard of them but If you have heard the early oasis demo's its easy to say that they were fans at the time

    Do you prefer Spacemen 3 or Spiritualized?

    Just did a search of the Stone Roses and was surprised about how little there is about them on here!!

    Anyway with regards to this post, i think their two albums were absolutely fantastic, particularly their first. One of the best debut albums ever in my opinion! There are so many great songs on this album, I am the Resurrection, Waterfall, and my favourite, and id say one of my favourite songs of all time, I Wanna be adored.

    No matter how many times i hear this song it still grabs me like nothing else, and is one song that honestly gives me goosebumps everytime. Ian Brown played this when i saw him last month and i was in heaven. As i see you're an oasis fan, ill have to be controversial and say that i feel the Stone Roses blow anything Oasis ever did right out of the water, and im not even an Oasis hater, i think they are pretty good.

    People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.
