I really can't say I have a 2nd favorite. I listen to so many bands and singers.

  • I would have to say the Black Crowes...and Clapton

Cornell used to be my favorite musician but alas now I'm forced to pretend like I never listened to him in the first place.

So, on any given day my favorite band might be either PJ or The Black Crowes.

  • Had R.E.M. not made the comeback of the century with "Accelerate", I would've said Wilco.

With that being said, R.E.M. by the thinnest of margins.

    Pearl Jam
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

it's a bit of a revolving door at number two, at the moment:

    NADA SURF

    here's some more recent ones:

    tripping daisy
    the polyphonic spree
    death cab for cutie
    bloc party

the list could go on, but nobody ever comes close to toppling numero uno

    I second that.

  • The Beatles have been my second favorite for a long time. However, Arcade Fire has closed in on that spot.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
