Make sure to check out Wolf Parade.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

we go every other year. it just takes so much out of me that annually would probably kill me.

but yeah, i'm stoked. funny, i was bitching about tom petty being in denver (i don't hate the guy, i just worry about time contraints at the venue, if any) and now i get to see him here.

never seen him before, and now 3 times this year. i guess that's cool.

i'm looking forward to kasey chambers, aimee mann, and g.love.

plus any others that kgsr hips me to.

    peace.

Don't forget Los Lonely Boys. Henry rivals Stevie Ray and I'm not kidding! :D

    Umm...

    SON VOLT!!!!
See them, but buy Okemah and the Melody of Riot (or any album) first so you can appreciate the songs (lyrics too) live cause it's LOUD.
I can't believe the lack of love the Volt gets in music circles. Half of the bands on that lineup wouldn't exist if not for Jay Farrar (and that's no understatement).
Using the word "methinks" in your message board posts doesn't make you look smart.

Jay/Son Volt are truly great, but he didn't invent twangy rock and roll.

Okemah is an excellent record. So are Trace and Straightaways.

Donovan Frankenreiter is one of my faves, too. Gnarls Barkley, Damian Marley, Matisyahu... Good, eclectic mix this year. I need to scoop up a pass soon.
