Edgar is an awesome acoustic bass genius!

He and Bela have a couple of dates coming up in Jan and April.
me and my 11 year old met bela over labor day weekend. he was at the moe.down, performing with the sparrow quartet. after their set they went to the merch tent to sign autographs and talk with the fans. real down to earth, humble person. and he can play the everloving fuck out of a banjo.

http://expandyourelement.com/photography/photography.html The image on the page of Chuck is one of my favs I have ever taken of him. Both summercamp 05 and 06 are up...i shot 07 too but have not had any time to edit the over 10K photos I've got right now...but I really need to so all the band's fan's can enjoy!
anyways my boyfriend is a big bela fleck fan...i'll see if he has any suggestions..but i'll second what someone else said about victor wooten...good stuff!

first time seeing them was the first moe.down. been to every one of them since. my show tally is 54 since labor day weekend '00. furthest i've gone to see them was from syracuse, ny to chicago. great show, but horrible driving conditions (middle of the winter, ran into a whiteout on the way home). you really need to go see them. make sure you get some rest the night before, though. they'll wear you out. and as DesignVHL said, they're currently on hiatus (although they're playing farmaid), but from a couple rumors i've heard, they're going to be playing a few dates around february '09 and they'll definitely be in full swing during the summer, gearing up for moe.down 10. i can't imagine them going to the down and not having warmed up on the road beforehand.

very, very nice pics. i wish i could take pictures that good. i've got some from a few of the moe.downs, but nothing like that. mine are all from afternoon sets, so there's no colored lights and shit like that. good job.

I have been to summercamp the last 6 years..and bummed that I missed it this past summer. We chose not to go because we thought we would need to refinance on our house...but days after scamp, we got a letter from our lender saying we didn't have to and that they froze our loan at the rate it was at for the remainder...really made my day, but was bummed I missed my annual memorial day weekend vacation!
And YEPPERS get LOTS of rest before a moe. show.... you will need it!
