What no Dublin
I'm not complaining about too much new stuff. I am complaining that they have played the same setlist, aside from 2 songs alternating, for what has got to be over 200 shows.
I caught them both US legs, and while the setlists were fine, both shows were identical, except for the fact that they dropped The Pot and Aenima out of the second time around.
I understand they have a very rehearsed show, but they can surely fall back on some old vids or change the way its presented.
saw them at gm place, then the gorge 5 days later. it felt identical only i was outdoors this time. BUT the gm place show was insane and i loved it, on of the best ive ever seen.
I will go catch them, if they make it back out to IL, and with the road dawgs they are, they prolly will.
And to the guy about Maynard givin a shit. Adam, Danny, and Justin seem totally into it. I kinda think Maynard is bored and maybe kinda miffed how Tool has gotten to be fairly mainstream.

I will probably go, but I have some of the same problems as others, The songs are real tight and the sound is great live, but damn am I gonna see the same setlist I saw a year ago! It would be boring to follow tool for multiple shows, but if youv'e never got the chance, everyone should see tool.
First I can see the show on a grand LSD trip
then I can see the show straight
next I can see the show geeked out
then I can see the show stoned
next I can see the show on x
then I can see the show drunk and stoned
next I can see the show trippin and drunk
then I can go back straight
afterward I will be able to assimilate all my experiences into one great nonmemory.
This made ma laugh out loud:
"afterward I will be able to assimilate all my experiences into one great nonmemory."
He's bein serious. That's how you can tell he's/she's a hardcore Tool fan
