Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers vinyl question...

My mom picked up a copy of Sticky Fingers on vinyl for me at a garage sale. It has the working zipper on the front cover, and along with that, is a pair of paper underwear tucked inside. I've never seen/heard of "underwear" being included with this album. Wondering if this was something added "to be funny" (which it is), or if it was included with the album?
Haven't been able to find anything online about paper underwear. Everything I've come across so far says there was a flap with a photo of underwear behind the zipper...but this isn't that.
Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this for me? Thanks! (and feel free to pm me if you'd like)

I bought that album when it came out and certainly don't remember paper underwear inside. Of course that was a long time ago, but it seems like I would remember something like that. ;) I tried searching and didn't come up with anything either. My guess is that someone put it in as a joke. Let us know if you find out differently though. :)

  • I have a copy of Alice Cooper's "Schools Out" that came with a pair of paper undies from the early 70's. Maybe someone's Cooper and Stones lps got mixed up at some point after too many bong hits! ;)

LOL Great answer and entirely possible! :)

That sounds like a very good possibility...I'll have to do a little more digging. Maybe I can match up a picture of the Alice Cooper underwear with the pair in my Stones album and see if it is a match.
    Thanks everyone
