Bad Brains

I was watching Fuse late at night and all of a sudden a video comes by Bad Brains called "Give Thanks And Praises/Jah Love" from Bad Brains from their new album "Build A Nation," and I must say I was really impressed. For the last few weeks or so I've built an appreciation for reggae, and even so, dub style reggae.
I even like when punk rock, like Minor Threat or Sublime, mixes in dub with their music. Anyways, like I was saying, after the Bad Brains video ended, I got on itunes and purchased the album for $9.99. I can't believe what a good band this is. Oh, and other good reggae artists (dub) are King Tubby Lee "Scratch" Perry.

Please, for the love of god, download ther first album. It's not much like their new stuff. It's about a thousand times better. Basically the best hardcore punk possible mixed with dub reggae. Songs like Banned in DC, Paid to Cum and The Big Takeover are incredible."I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0

That's exactly what I did 30 minutes after downloading Build A Nation. I can't believe music was that good in '83. Nowadays music's shit.11/6/95, 11/18/97, 7/13/98, 7/14/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/28/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/6/06, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 7/13/06, 7/15/06, 7/16/06, 7/18/06, 10/21/06, 4/10/08, 4/13/08, 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, 10/9/090 -

See HR is doing a small tour with DK (minus Jello). I wonder how HR is doing. Good enough to get up and sing a bit. Nice to see.0

I've seen HR a couple times and he has been great. This was a long time ago. He did have a major mental breakdown during one show, but he did eventually play. I just can't see DK without Jello.
My wife bought me one of those video birthday messages, and one of the people she got to do it was HR. It was a sweet message.1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
