They did most of the soundtrack to the movie Juno. I like this band. Who else has heard of them?

They actually broke up several years ago. Adam Green (1 of the 2 members) has a decent solo career....fun to see live.

Kimya Dawson also has an excellent back catalogue and is touring the UK in May.

  • Yep, well Urbanhippie introduced me to Kimya Dawon. 'Remember that I Love You' is probably my discovery of the year... based on that, I then heard Moldy Peaches. I love em.

I believe it was Kimya Dawson who did the majority of the soundtrack to Juno. As far as I remember there's only one Moldy Peaches song on there, but correct me if I am wrong.

  • I love the Moldy Peaches and have done since Urbanhippie's ex husband introduced me to them.

I love the song off the Juno sound track, Anyone Else But You, but also love the Michael Cera and Ellen Paige version from the film itself.

Adam Green and Kimya Dawson solo are equally as good as each other but very different. Strange though how he toured the UK this month and Kimya is touring next... coincidink? I think not... ;)
Unfortunately I missed Adam Green's Birmingham gig (didn't know it was happening til about 2 days after and then couldn't make it to any of the other gigs... just my damn luck  ) and can't make it to Kimya's London gig or any other date on her tour. So i'm gutted.... ah well, maybe next time :)

I patched into the soundboard in NYC when they opened for The Frogs. It might be the only SBD bootleg out there...

If you like Kimya Dawsom check out bands that can actually sing and play and write good songs.
