Yup...they had to change their name when they wanted to make more money. Paralyzer is overplayed in Canada because Canadian stations have to play 30% Canadian content and it was one of the few good songs released in Canada in the past two years.

I have seen this band open up for the Tea Party about 11 years ago. They were decent then, but not something I'd rush back to ever.

One of the worst bands I have ever heard, that Paralyzer song makes me wanna punch each member of the band in the face.

that Paralyzer song makes me wanna punch each member of the band in the face.

    Word.

    Look at these retarded lyrics...
    Paralyzer lyrics

    I hold on so nervously
    To me and my drink
I wish it was cooling me
But so far, has not been good
    It’s been shitty
And I feel awkward, as I should
This club has got to be
    The most pretentious thing
Since I thought you and me
    Well I am imagining
    A dark lit place
Or your place or my place

    Well I’m not paralyzed
But, I seem to be struck by you
I want to make you move
    Because you’re standing still
    If your body matches
    What your eyes can do
    You’ll probably move right through
Me on my way to you

I hold out for one more drink
    Before I think
    I’m looking too desperately
But so far has not been fun
    I should just stay home
If one thing really means one
    This club will hopefully
    Be closed in three weeks
That would be cool with me
    Well I’m still imagining
    A dark lit place
Or your place or my place

    Seriously.... What the fuck

I wish my drink was cooling me but it's been shitty....????

I should have stayed home because the club isn't fun, but it would be ok with me if it closes in three weeks....?

That's what people write songs about?????

saw them at some radio sponsered concert back in... 99 or 2000. it was right when their second record came out. they were decent but the opening band (Tidewater Grain) blew them the fuck away! what a great band Tidewater was... man i miss them.

I really like these guys. Their last couple records have definitely gotten poppier, but they're still a fun listen.

Just found out that song One Thing is by them as well, another absolutely dreadful song. The song was annoying as hell but the radio stations (especially mix stations) still played it constantly. Funny thing is that the alternative station in our area stopped playing it because so many people called and said they never wanted to hear the song again.

I liked "the greatest of grey skies" and their last album. The newest one is too much pop and I can't stand Paralyzer. Before this album they were pretty good imo. A decent band to check out.

Rainbow Butt Monkeys were pretty cool. I can even tolerate the first two Finger Eleven CDs, though I would never listen to them by choice. Anything after that is vomit inducing radio garbage.

IMO, a good band and an awesome live show. To understand Paralyzer is to understand the humor of the band...not for everyone, I know...but, I've been a fan for 10 years now. Paralyzer is not one of their better songs, but it is catchy!

I used to be a huge RBM/f11 fan, and they put on a hell of a live show. But this newest album is a gigantic step backwards, musically and especially lyrically. It makes Evanescence sound like vintage Dylan.
