Joy Division fans

Who here likes Joy Division? I'm starting to get into them. I have Substance and Closer (Collector's Edition w/ University Of London Union 2/8/80).

    you've gotta get Unknown Pleasures, I prefer it slightly to Closer. Not saying you gotta get it because I prefer it but you may wish to all the same.

    Or he could get Permanent which is a mix of the best songs from both records........I cant decide which record I like more

    I was actually gonna post this...its such a great cover, great performance.

    As for Joy Division, there is such an intensity to their music. Anyone see the movie "control"? Its a film about Joy Division and the life of Ian Curtis in particular. I recommend it.

    Actually I don't think its out on DVD yet. I saw it in an independent theatre in Vancouver about a month ago. If you wanna find it I suggest the indie theatres.

    Ive looked and it isnt playing at any in the area

    It's funny because all this time, I thought "Dead Souls" was an original Nine Inch Nails song, from The Crow Soundtrack.

    amazing song, it's got that sense of foreboding that renders the 'scary' acts of today just banal.

    Closer I find hard to take through headphones, Curtis' voice just gets inside my head, creeps me out.
