so POPPY!!! All it plays is POP music (shit that EVERYBODY likes) Everybody, meaning the dumbed-down mainstream audience. There are no rock/alternative groups up for Video of the Year.

    I thought the thread was going to be, Why is MTV ... still having Video Music Awards. They should be having the Reality TV awards.

    C'mon. If and when they play music it is simply flavor of the month, whatever is on the charts music that happens to be selling right then and there. Usually, that means pop for the masses of 15 and unders.
