We're not going out tonight so I'm watching that. Please don't tell me that you hate Daughtry; I already know and I do not care.

happy new year to you too. (is that a pic of you? you look like the actor ryan gosling)

well david cook seemed a little over confident in a segment where he was sitting with his family and friends in their own little section. He was presented with a platinum record for record sales of 1 million and he seemed to not care and said, "well, I could use a few more of those." His performance was boring. He sounds like Edwin McCain with a vibrato. I still have not decided if I like DC or not.
The platinum remark and his attitude turned me OFF. Get humble dave, these are hard times, you are lucky if anyone buys your cds!

I've heard chris daughtry sound better before. He was sitting down, playing the acoustic guitar.

As for scottie, he looked good and sounded all right. He sang "Missing Cleveland" from his new Happy cd. My husband hates that song and we're seeing him in concert on 1/27. The bi-polar meds must be kicking in because scott seemed a little tired though.

thanks for the report! i figured cook would be a cocky asshole... he seemed like a pretty decent guy on american idol but anyone would change with the kindof attention hes been getting

i hate "missing cleveland" too... who the hell writes songs about cleveland in the first place?! but good to hear scott wasnt drugged out of his mind on a national stage

ha... oh and yah thats me in the picture... youre the second person here to say that... thanks
too bad the mickey mouse club isnt still around

  • I'm not a fan of Missing Cleveland either; one of the weaker songs on his new solo album. However, I felt the album as a whole was pretty solid. I'm glad to hear he wasn't messed up last night; wish I could have seen him. Not Cook and Daughtry though, I think they're both sucky douchebags, only my opinion though.

iluvcats, are you going to see Weiland in Baltimore?! I'm going to that show too on the 27th! Damn, what a coincidence. I'm hoping Scott keeps thing together for this small solo tour; when he's on, the man is very solid live.

    Happy new year guys!

I think Missing Cleveland is ok, I could listen to scott sing old mcdonald had a farm and I would not care. You should hang out with my husband at the Baltimore show, he feels the same way about Daughtry!
Oh my husband will be the one in the back of the room, asleep, dying of boredom wishing for STP songs, lol! Kind of like when he went with me to the same venue to see Gavin Rossdale, he wanted to hear Bush songs.

Hey I took a nap yesterday so I could stay up late to see Daughtry (I think he's ok, I have his cd -- bash me, I don't care!) Originally, I only knew that he would be on the NY eve special. It was a pleasant surprise when I found out that Scott would be on there.
