I have placed If Your Feeling Sinister in my top 5 indie releases in the past decade. absolutely love it.

my favorite tune they do though is I'm Waking Up to Us off the EP of the same name. It is a perfect pop song. perfect.

I can't believe I like them as much as I do since they sound nothing like anything I own. It is just beautifully orchestrated music.
  • I have only been introduced to their albums art, i havent listened yet, but i am sure it's good, great art work!

Not exactly a fan, but I really like them.
Get "Push Bar Man to Open Old Wounds" if you haven't.
"This Is Just A Modern Rock Song", OMG, what a... well.. what a song!!

I have pretty much everything by them except for that Storytelling soundtrack...(I Believe In Travellin' Light) is my current favourite B & S song.

Is it just me, or is this band named after a cartoon from the 80s?
I've got a Gibson without a case, but I can't get that even tanned look on my face...

No, it's not just you, the band is named after that cartoon... in fact they talked to the creator of the cartoon to let them use the name.

I am a fan. A friend of mine went to NY (B&S is his fav band)on the weekend to see them and Beck. He said their set was good but they had some serious sound problems because they didn't have their regular crew. Check out "I'm Waking Up To Us " for the song "I Love My Car"

Cool.. yeah it was a good cartoon. Kind of heavy on the emotion for kiddies though..

I started on the newer stuff, working back, so my fave album right now is Dear Catastrophe Waitress..mellow catchy tunes brilliant
  • Everything is very good to awsome by Belle and Sebastian. Check out "Lazy Line Painter Jane" the song. Probably their most rocking.
  • My favourite songs of thiers are Boy with the Arab Strap, I'm a Cuckoo and Sleep the Clock Around.
I don't have to sell my soul, he's already in me

If you've lost your faith in love and music the end won't be long
  • Barry: Holy shite. What the fuck is that?
Dick: It's the new Belle and Sebastian...
Rob: It's a record we've been listening to and enjoying, Barry.
Barry: Well, that's unfortunate, because it sucks ass.

Sorry, I couldn't resist it. Actually, I've never even heard Belle and Sebastian, I just love that scene in High Fidelity.

  • This will sound snobbish, but I think people who like Belle and Sebastian have excellent taste, and for those who don't like them, get some taste.

I'm just listening to their new album right now, and this is georgeous stuff, much following the steps of their previous, Dear Catastrophe Waitress, they sound pretty fresh and it might be their most upbeat effort, I liked the single Funny Little Frog, but just wait to listen to the funky guitar of We're Sleepy Heads. Really enjoyable.
