Is The Sun a credible source?

You'd have to think those guys stand to make a ton of money if this true. Not to mention the opportunity for a brand new generation to experience Zep live.

highly unlikely. I consider it slightly less reputable than your average top-shelf, cellophane wrapped 99p porn mag. At least they make no pretense of being a newspaper.

that is a very old article. if you notice, it says "22" years after being broken up, so it must have been published in 2002. I think if any of it were true, it would have happened by now. Plant has a good thing going with the Strange Sensation now, who knows what all Jimmy is doing, and even JPJ is doing his own thing. I'm afraid the Page/Plant days in the 90's were the closest we'll ever get to seeing the mighty Zeppelin live ever again, but I know I'd be the first in line to see something like this if it ever in fact materialized. it could still happen. the guys aren't THAT old!!

that story is bullshit, but apparently there was discussions in 2005 about doing some shows to mark the 25th anniversary of John Bonham's passing, but it was scrapped cos Plant couldnt decide if it would be a good idea or not. So I havent totally given up hope of a reunion - cant wait to see what Jimmy comes up with on his new album. He says he's starting recording early in 2007

Do you think they would get a famous drummer to drum for them if they ever did go back on tour? If so, whom?
If I could, think I would give in.

This is like the 10th time I've heard this, and that Sun story is always behind it.

They're smoking crack. It will never happen. what's left of Zep has been offered millions of dollars to reform and tour, and they have always passed...even in what could be considered lean years by legend standards.

Same with Pink Floyd. After Live 8, they were offered 100 million GBP to tour. They turned it down.

Can you imagine having so much money that you can't be enticed to tour for loads of money? They do not need it but it would be sweet to see those guys. Wonder what would entice them?

I was way too young but damn my mom, who was not a fan, saw them saw them with my step-dad at Tampa stadium in the early 70's (I believe concerts were banned in that stadium after this concert).

Dave Grohl is the obvious and only choice, he learnt to drum by copying Bonzo, and is a died in the wool Zep fanatic, and an ANNIMAL drummer rahter than a technician.

If that's true it's even better than the Police reuiniting and even a little better than the Pixies last year.

Funny thing... Stephen Colbert joked about Zep reuniting with Lars Ulrich or someone a few days ago :p

Oh and the fact that Plant still sounds great is a huge plus.
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

Yup. If they ever did anything, Dave would be drumming for them.
