Just wondering if anyone is hearing things about this festival. Apparently, there are more acts to be added to the lineup. So far, this is what we know:

VOODOO returns to its rightful home in New Orleans’ City Park for its eighth anniversary. This year’s return to City Park marks a vote of faith for the historic location where the festival launched in 1999.

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Duran Duran
Wu Tang Clan
Flaming Lips
My Chemical Romance
Social Distortion
Secret Machines
Kings of Leon
Blue October
Brazilian Girls
Ferry Corsten
Broken Social Scene
Drive By Truckers
Jack Mannequin
The Rentals
Ozomatli
Yerba Buena
The Living Things
The Whigs

Who else is rumored or a possibility to be added? I think there will be at least one more major act named in the weeks to come.

I went in 2004 and really enjoyed it. City Park has a great feel and makes it possible to have the numerous stages a bit spread out. It's not really like other festivals, much more relaxed and easier to navigate around. If it's an option, GO!!!

Perhaps they will add another big-name band like Alice in Chains or Audioslave.

I'm not sure. They're touring through Florida this summer and I saw the name The Whigs. I wondered if they are an evolution of the Afghan Whigs, but don't know enough about the band to say for sure.

There seems to be a decent amount of buzz surrounding them, though.

Only band of any interest to me is Drive-by Truckers...............

It just hit me that the freakin' Wu Tang Clan is performing at this festival. Every living member of the group.

That's remarkable (and maybe even a bit curious).

Duran Duran being there is humorous.

Does anyone think there's an outside chance for Pearl Jam to show up and play this festival? My sister offered me tickets earlier today and I'm thinking of taking them.

OK, perhaps "show up" was a poor choice of words. Maybe what I meant was "sign on".

Come to think of it, though, what are the dates of the Bridge School Benefit in October? Roughly the same, yeah? That could be bad news for this possibility if the two are on the same weekend.
