Hehehe....my sister really liked them about the time that More Than Words came out. I bought her the Pornograffiti album for her birthday or Christmas, can't remember which. Sometime down the road, she gave the album back to me saying that she made a copy of More Than Words, which was the only song she really liked and thought I would like the album more than she did. I admit, I occasionally play that album...:o

They had some catchy songs. "Hole Hearted" had a great acoustic thump, and "Make Love, Not War" has a ridiculously good guitar solo.
Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"

My first ever gig in '92. I have fond memories of them but don't listen to them ... could have something to do with me having all the albums on tape.

If the rumoured World tour happens I'd go to relive some memories ... surfy I'll see you and t'other half there :D
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

More Than Words is a great tune, but definitely not representative of their music as a whole, which I am not a fan of.

On a side note, Nuno is from my hometown and I played baseball as a kid with his nephew.

ah yes...Extreme...goin' back to the days of WAAF's Liz "The Cream Cheese Bitch" Wilde and Ian O'Malley. Good times.

Hey Kid Ego with your head above the clouds
Hey Kid Ego Whoa come down

also loved 'It's A Monster' and 'Are We Ever Gonna Change' from the other albums.

fun band live...and i also saw that DLR/Extreme/Cinderella tour...good stuff!
I love to turn you on

I'll say it!!! 3 Sides To Every story was a very solid album. Timing couldn't have been worse though for them. It came out in 92 right when the Seattle scene was blowing the fuck up. I also heard recently they were going to reunite (doesn't everyone).

they actually were around for several years before that record came out. basically, by the time they made it "big" their style of music was dead. bad timing indeed.

It's the same for me for any Band that still has a glimpse of 80's Hair Metal in their sound/attitude/looks I really can't relate to this anymore.

The Nuno solos are wild. Shred central.

Weird to hear Extreme in drop D.  It’s a decent song. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

I came across a Beato video today discussing the solo. Seems it’s the buzz of the rock community.

I considered them a one hit wonder band and never knew that Bettencourt was considered some guitar god then I saw the Beato video. The song is so STP especially the beginning.

Briefly met Cherone on the VH3 tour and I have nothing bad to say. Spent an hour or so hanging with Nuno when he put out a solo album in 1997. He was a total dick. Spent most of the time bashing Sammy Hagar (he had just been up at 5150 where VH was recording with Cherone) so I had to ask. I've met Sammy 3 times and he has always been super cool.

Hole Hearted was a top 5 hit, granted not as popular as More Than Words but i'd consider it definitely a pretty big hit
