I just love 'em... Anyone else? I just think they're so great mainly because they don't sound too much like all of the other young bands that are coming out. Granted, they have had a couple albums by now, but still, I'm just so pumped that there's a new band that's GOOD.

Whoa, just saw the video of Ed singing with them at some Rolling Stone thing. It was pretty sick.

I thought that came out last year. I'm certain I've read reviews for it. It's also available on amazon.com
I only lied because it was the easiest way to get what I wanted.

I love this Strokes song. Possibly my new favorite. I had to learn it on guitar, fun to play.
  • They are pretty good live. I saw them at the Crocodile in Seattle last year, and it was great to see a band like that in such a small club. I love all three of their albums.
  • the strokes are champ. all 3 of their albums are great.

yeah "you only live once" is a great song, i was blown away by them live probably one of the best bands around to see live. I preferred room on fire and this is it as albums though first impressions on earth i didn't like so much.
  • Albert Hammond Jnr's solo record is fantastic, I can't get enough of it.

I really love the Strokes song 'Hawaii', one of the best b-sides ever!
    "I am a doughnut." (live - Berlin, Germany - 11/03/96)

"Behave like rock stars - not like the President." (live - Noblesville, IN - 8/17/98)

    --Ed

"Yeah, I was gonna learn to play it (Breath) but somebody slipped me a bottle of viagra and was busy doing something else six times last night" (live - New York, NY - 9/10/98)

    --Ed

they seem to get slated by the critics over here, was led to believe that Room On Fire was a total write-off and I preferred it over Is This It

actually think they;ve got better with each album
