was hoping Sony forgot aboot this crappy compilation.

"The Essential Alice in Chains", a two-CD compilation that originally was slated to be released more than two years ago, finally will see the light of day July 25 via Sony/Legacy.The complete track listing for the collection is as follows:

    Without 'Down In A Hole', it doesn't seem too "essential" to me. Not that it matters to me since I have all of their albums, but that's a glaring omission.

    it's a really crappy and unnecessary compilation..the tracklist is missing some essentials too.
    noone's gonna buy it.

    I remember Would got boring really quick for me. After 5 or 6 listens, the punch really lessened. It was my favorite off of Dirt for about a day or two.

    you call it crappy, but they're the only AIC songs that i see anyone talking about here on this board

    I have constantly praised their self-titled album to be their best work and have talked about songs such as "Shame in You," "Sludge Factory," and "So Close" as being some of their best songs.
