I really enjoyed Swell Season on yesterday's webcast. It's the band with Irish musician Glen Hansard and Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová. They're the pair that starred in the movie Once.
It's the Irish band you'd actually see in Ireland - one foot firmly planted in traditional music with an important need to tell a story.
It's impossible for me to watch them play without smiling. They're having the time of his lives with their unexpected breakout. Do yourself a favor and rent the movie to see how special these two are.
Hopefully the Blueroom will post a clip if you missed them.
