The Eagles, Why exactly was Don Felder fired?

Going through an Eagles phase at the moment and recently bought the Farewell 1 dvd, I love it but it started to make me wonder why Felder was sacked, Ive tried wikipedia but does anyone have links or info on the real story about it?
