F yeah… look who’s going back on the road in the spring:

    It’s about god damn time.
    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh buddy
I was spinning Tonic Immobility this past weekend & wondering if they were ever going to get back together.

Hopefully they swing through the NE - They're f'ing phenomenal.
Had to check and 2013 at the Paradise was the last time I saw them. Let's go.

I went from my then fiance's bridal shower right to that show... I was one person removed from the rail, what a great night (I think the Bruins were playing the Penguins in the ECF that same night... #simplertimes)

I was pretty disappointed to find out in the last week, that with the cancellation of the Sick New World festival, also comes the cancellation of the pending Tomahawk tour. Dunn said as much in a podcast from the end of November.

    https://www.metalsucks.net/2024/11/29/tomahawks-trevor-dunn-let-slip-that-sick-new-world-might-be-canceled/

Not that a 2 week tour would have necessarily been something I would have been able to attend, especially what with the PJ tour, but it's depressing all the same.

I hope they can figure something else out.

That sucks. I alway get excited seeing a new post in this thread. Always holding out hope for a new tour with one of his projects. FNM and tomahawk at the top of the list for sure

Bungle opening for Avenged Sevenfold south of the border this fall.

Any activity is better than no activity I suppose.

I suppose, seems like Mike is heading towards retirement. Can’t blame him. I’m just used to being him active to the point of parody.

I don't think so.  He's an artist/virtuoso of the highest order.  Talents like him don't usually retire. They tend to keep it rolling until they are not physically/mentally able to any longer.

I think he's just navigating his new reality now that he has a diagnosed illness.  I expect many more years of him recording and being on the road. (I sure hope so!?!?!?)

He's always been my favorite artist, but he's also kind of an afterthought for me these days... outside of Tonic Immobility, I haven't REALLY been interested in much since Sol Invictus, and that was 10 years ago. Dead Cross never really did it for me, and while I loved the whole Bungle reunion, I can't say that material does all that much for me either, at least compared to the material that got me into them in the '90s.

I'm happy to see anything booked, but considering the circumstance of Tomahawk cancelling their tour and the comment w/ this Bungle announcement saying they had planned to take the year off... idk, things seem bleak.

This is literally exactly how I feel. Thanks for summing up my thoughts so I didn’t have to

I agree with most of this except that I do like the thrashier Bungle stuff.

I'm glad I went to as many FNM reunion shows as I could. It seemed like they had some momentum at the time and fortunately I didn't take that for granted

Would love a Tomahawk or Fantomas tour but mostly just hope he's doing ok.

Agreed. I caught 6 different shows during the reunion show and got so many different songs. I’m forever grateful for the chance to have seen them at what I think was an incredible phase for them.

I was at both nights. Those were the first two times I’ve ever seen them. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Same and same. I had been waiting 15 years for that. Was not quite going to shows when they last toured in the later 90s. Did not disappoint at all.

During Crab song Patton did a front flip into the crowd about 2 feet to my left. It’s was fucking insane. I left both nights soaked. Remember how hot it was?

Oh man I do. Was maybe the first time I was in Williamsburg and my buddy and I had a solid pregame before the show. Would definitely skip that part if I had it to do again.
