what do i need to know about this band. what album should i get first? i know soul asylum use to cover one of their songs back in the day. and so i recently figured id download some songs from them. so far i like them.

    All you need to know is that Mission of Burma is probably one of the top five American rock bands of all-time. I'd say just start off at the beginning, with the "Signals, Calls and Marches" EP, and then "Vs." They released "The Obliterati" last year, and it's another excellent record. The songs are incredibly catchy, very loud, and pretty arty as well. "That's When I Reach For My Revolver" is arguably the greatest song ever written. I love Mission of Burma. Highly recommended.
