... hey u guys, i was just thinking, what do you honestly think about Cornell's artistic direction this year?

i've always loved Chris and soundgarden, he's such a talented musician and songwriter, an awesome vocalist, but... wtf???? what the hell is he doing now??? i dont want to hate him for what he is doing, but, jeez it's difficult! what kind of crap is that? has he sold himself to the commercial mainstream by singing lousy dance songs? can somebody explain me why?????

i also remember reading a PJ interview when PEARL JAM was released, and Matt kind of said something that got me thinking that he disliked what Chris was doing with Audioslave...

btw, does Audioslave still exist???

    I really think there's enough threads on CC and his new direction on here already...

    No, Audioslave have been defunct since CC left in February last year...

    I don't remember that. Do you have a link or something to what exactly Matt said?

    And I would imagine Matt Cameron does have a problem with Cornell's "artistic direction" recently! Anyone got a link to this?

    Its from the Rockzone magazine (spain issue nr. 14). here's the transcript:

    " ... and what do you think about what Chris Cornell is doing with Audioslave?"
    CAMERON: have you asked me about Creed? (laughs). There's not much difference between those 2 bands..."

    and then the PJ interview continues. sorry i dont have a link for that. i searched my shelves for the hardcopy issue of the magazine.

    Didn't Cornell pretty much break off all contact from the people back in his Seattle days anyway? I remember him saying in an interview that he moved away from that scene and pretty much changed his entire roster of "friends" and what not.

    I heard the Howard Stern interview when he said he was not in touch with any family. Hasn't talked to his parents in 3 years. Don't know about his old friends.

    Still has a good voice. Not EVERYTHING sucks about him... Just most things.
