I was referring to an article in this month's Rolling Stone, which describes this site as controversial. The website's owner, Bill Sagan, believes that he owns the rights to stream these shows because he bought the archive from Clear Channel in 2003 and pays performance royalties to publishers through a service called Sound Exchange. However, Sound Exchange's general counsel is saying that only the artists' labels have the right to distribute the shows. Bob Weir has hired a lawyer to look into the legality of streaming the Grateful Dead shows.

I'm just suggesting that people listen to them while they can. :)
