    ugh, jack johnson...he's not bad, but EVERY SINGLE SONG of his sounds the same. Each has practically the same time, rhythmn, and almost all are just bar chords...so boring IMO

    meh, i hear that all the time about pj... i don't think it's true for either, but every band/musician does tend to have a signature sound...

    Agreed. If they put 9 of his old songs on the soundtrack instead of new ones, would anyone notice the difference?

    I don't think either Jack Johnson or Norah Jones, both of whom I love, are designed to be hardcore rock music to get the adrenaline going. It's just some nice chilled music to listen to after a rough day or before bed.

    I love Jack and the new soundtrack!!

    Sure, He's got his own "sound", but so does everyone else.

    From a guitarist standpoint:
    He loves his barr chords and loves his mutes.
    Every guitarist has their own "thing".
