06.14.2006 Nine Inch Nails, Bauhaus, TV On The Radio
06.25.2006 Taking Back Sunday, Angels and Airwaves, The Subways (liked the Subways, the rest were okay, but my daughter and her friend loved it)
08.30.2006 The Spinto Band (Y-Rock on XPN Resurrection Party, almost got knocked over by Nick Krill's pogoing mom)
10.20.2006 Art Brut, The Spinto Band, Annuals (really, really fun show)

Assorted battle-of-the-bands, birthday party basement shows by some good unsigned young bands. The future of rock is looking good!

All of these shows were really great, but I got to see my two very FAVORITE bands in the same week. I can't ask for much more than that!

Good question, by the end of the year i will have seen them 5 times live. i feel when they play more intimate shows or if they headline a show they have much more energy and are much more polished. two shows i seen were opening slots, and they looked a little out of it and tired, but when i saw them at the Trocadero in july for their Record release show they were amazing! and in 2004 they Headlined the TLA in Philly and again they were incredible. on wednesday im heading to A.C. to see them do another headline show at the House of Blues which is a great venue , i am sure they will be awesome

I didn't see very many shows this year, in part because most of the acts I wanted to see - Pearl Jam, Fiona Apple, Springsteen, etc - didn't come to Missouri. And I have a mortgage, so I can't travel to different shows in different states as often as I'd like to.

    8/26 - Flaming Lips/Sonic Youth (St. Louis)
10/1 - The Strokes (Kansas City)
10/24 - Pet Shop Boys (St. Louis)
