i'm currently listening to this album and while its not as good as mindcrime 1 (how could it?) i am plesantly surprised. i thought without degarmo the album could perhaps suck, and that perhaps tate would be past it. he's not as good as he was 20 years ago but he still sounds damn good.....one of the best rock vocalists of all time. 
i'll certainly buy this when it comes out.....
