  • They are amazing! Saw them last October and it was the best show I've ever been to. But if your just going to hear 1979 and stuff prepare to be lost because although you might here a hit or two, with this tour and the format if you are only going to one night you will prolly hear a ton of obscure tracks if you arent a huge Pumpkin fan. When I saw them like 1/3 of the crowd left after 1979. It was lame, but the Pumpkins were unbelievable.

  • I saw them in '96 and enjoyed it alot.....not quite the same now though, I guess, so my opinion doesn't count.....as usual
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
  • Just got GREAT seats for one of the Boston shows!! Can't wait!!! :)

The Pumpkins seem to be one of those polarizing bands in terms of live performances - people either say that they're great or that they're terrible. I saw them back in '96 when they toured for MCIS and I really liked the show.

I don't know what the show is going to be like now, they're coming to St. Louis and I'm sorta tempted to go but the tix are kinda pricey...

Anyone have a MCIS vinyl? if so PM me!
  • saw them earlier this year with QOTSA opening
    Queens crapped all over them
Worst concert ever been too, talk about snore fest

People were walking out, the crowd was standing there, it stunk, BC spent more time wanking his guitar, im all up for solos and things like that, just very dissapointed, :(

No energy from the band, looked like they didnt even wanna be there, people were txting and talking to each other, asking when the concert was gonna end so we could go home, I ended up walking out with my brother, and we werent the other ones, I was told last time BC came to NZ he was booed off stage rightly so, i would have been happy if queens came back on to save the show!

Luckily seeing Ozzy, whitesnake and poison a few days later saved the week!

terrible show, some good moments but, pretty boring

but then again might have been a random shit show

    But go have fun

  • i saw them in aus last time they came. it was the most frustrating show i've ever been to.

they played some amazing songs, like opening with porcellina, it was beautiful and they sounded amazing. HOWEVER, they also played a 25+ minute version of United States, which was the single most self obsessed piece of crap i've ever had to listen to and completly wrecked the concert for me.

as was mentioned before, they do play some of the hits, however there is quite a lot of obscure numbers in there as well (they played pink floyds 'set the controls for the heart of the sun' which to me was awesome, but alot of the other 7000 ppl there didnt really get it, and again, it was another 10+ song)...

as i heard one guy say as he left, 'why the hell do they sell t-shirts with 'zero' on them if they're not going to play the song...'

saw them in 2000 and it was one of the worst shows that I have ever seen.

But then again, I think the band had already technically broken up and were simply finishing off their commitments.

say what you will...i saw them twice two summers ago during their filmore residency and they genuinely impressed me. it's worth it just to watch chamberlain and feel your body pounded by that beast.

    A mediocre one, these days.

Saw them last year and they weren't as good as they could be...how could they be without Iha and Wretsky?

Saw them for the first time last year and they were surprisingly good.
Never seen them live before and I wasn't sure Billy's voice would sounds good in a live setting, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The acoustic 1979 was awesome. That is until Billy had a strop and refused to come back for an encore!!

    Still worth seeing though.
