this is fantastic news...the last I heard about this it was a solo Albarn record but this is awesome too....Paul Simonon and a member of the Verve working with Damon Albarn! This has gotta be good!

i like albarn Gorillaz side project, he´s a quite underated as an artist....
if you compare oasis and blur works you can realize it...
Oasis is amazing, and, as much as I love Blur, I do have to give Oasis the upper hand...Noel Gallagher is a genius
That being said, Damon Albarn is indeed quite underrated as is Blur as a whole.
I don't get why people have to 'take sides' with all those 'brit pop' bands though...I mean, I love both of them. I once had a friend tell me "I love Oasis so much now I CANT listen to Blur"(he was half joking though)
