i know there arent a lot of you on this board and this will probably sink to the bottom.
but i saw Islands live last night at the showbox and it was great.
Fans of the unicorns will not be dissapointed. The album is a lot more mature and more indie-pop rather than indie-punk.
It has a very uplifting drifty feel to it and it is very enjoyable first track is called swans and is a GREAT song it lasts for 9 minutes and continuously builds momentum through out. It will make for a great summer road trip album or party album.
The band is very eclectic using baritone sax, oboe, violins, keys (obviously)
nick diamonds however only plays the keyboards/ synth on one song, everything else is all guitar by him.
The band was very entertaining live and look like they were all having fun on stage.
and how can you not like a band with one song title call tsuxiit and another called, dont call me whitney, bobby.
