    It's MTV. Does anyone really take them (or any awards show for that matter) seriously? Hell, Britney Spears picked up best act and best album. Speaks for itself, really.

    When I needed a laugh, I put it on.

    This is the worst of the Stock Aiken and Waterman fodder, but it's so funny you can't take it seriously.

    Generally pop music in the UK is the pits and MTV take themselves too seriously that they can't see the joke.

    Yes, the New York Mets were Rickrolled earlier this year, it's everywhere!

    To everybody else, this is a joke, it's great fun to bash MTV but 1) this was a fan vote and 2) it was a joke.
