I have a Blink 182 confession....

I really like their final album self titled album from '03. If that's the album that made them split it was well worth it. I always considered them kind of a "joke band" until this album. The album as a whole is pretty impressive....and flows better than most. For some reason I get sucked into a pop/punk/rock album every now and then....before that it was Jimmy Eat World, and more recently its been Hawthorne Heights.

go ahead and laugh now....but I had to get it off my chest.

I actually agree. I thought it was one of their better efforts. Showed some maturity.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

Down, Feeling This, Stockholm Syndrome, Asthenia, Easy Target....it's a great album. Also the only Blink-182 album that I own.

It's a great album so save your shame for when you confess your undying love for Air Supply.

I was with you until Hawthorne Heights... :) They don't even come close to Jimmy Eat World. I don't know where you took your name from but if you've not heard the band Indian Summer, check them out. now there's some REAL "emo"!

  • I too like this album very much. They just completely sucked when I saw them with No Doubt back in 2004. I don't even particularly like No Doubt, but they put on a hell of a stage performance.

yeah, this is the only album that I bought from them, because I loved the feeling of Miss You, it was so dark, and the back-up vocals were sounding kind of fuzzy. It sounded really good. I think it is a really strong record as well. The song with Robert Smith from the Cure is great. I just had Always stuck in my head recently as well.

the whole album is awesome and definatley shows that they had matured, except the last song, were its just a piano and Tom, that song was horrible!

I honestly disliked their mature selves. They were more accessible as a joke band and that label stayed with them into their later years, making me feel like it just didn't work

I thought it was a terrible album. The songs arent catchy, most are actually bad, and they use a drum machine on songs (wtf do you need a drum machine for when you have a solid drummer). That being said, I used to love them before this album but I just cant relate to their music anymore now that I am not in high school.

    And you listen to Oasis....

I can't expect much out of either of you.

  • i totally agree... i think it's a real shame that this was their last album... because it was their first really good one!

I don't know, call me old fashioned (or maybe just "old" ;)), but i have no use for novelty pseudo-punk bands....

but i love this album... especially the song with Robert Smith... :)

  • The only thing related to Blink 182 that I've really liked was Box Car Racer. That was a fantastic album. Shame there was only one of 'em.

Box Car Racer blew away their shitty self-titled album.

  • There's nothing wrong. This is a solid album. I like most of the Blink 182 music anyway.

Oh, and what a surprise that little turd pjoasis crawled out of the gallaghers' asses to to contaminate this thread. Although I sadly must agree with him that Box Car Racer kicked ass.
