don't really know what to expect. I've heard that's incredible live, and also that he's boring live....both from what I consider credible sources. I've never been to a "jam-band" type show, but if the music is good I think I'll enjoy it. It's outside at a Ballpark, and Willie Nelson is opening. SHould be interesting at the very least!.

I saw them a few years ago. They're pretty good. they do have a lot of extended jams that aren't Phish-level good but they're okay. I remember being impressed with the drummer

DMB is no longer a jam band.....expect a bunch of drunk frat boys and a very young crowd, only a select few there for the actual love of music

Yikes. I've had some great show choices this year, and I'm hoping to keep that streak going.

had my first Dave experience almost 2 months ago. If you aren't a die hard it will be tough to follow. but that being said, carter is ridiculous and I basically watched him for 2+ hours and the band sounds awesome live.

i'd say both of your credible sources are correct. i've seen dmb 3 times. first show was in hershey on the 2000 tour, i was bored as hell and walked out....second show was in 04 i believe at merriweather, it was incredible, a lot of energy from the band which was on point in every way, pretty descent crowd, just a great show all around whether you were a fan or not. 3rd time was '05 at state college i think. i actually went with a huge dmb fan and had fan club tickets where i was basically 2 rows back on the side of the stage, despite the great seats i was once again bored as hell. couldn't wait for the show to be over, and the crowd really sucked. i'd say the worst thing about a dmb show is probably the crowd, a lot of frat kids and people that go to get fucked up and consider the music a secondary part of the experience. the kind of people that just like to say they were at a show ya know. anyway, the band is incredibly talented and it will show. as far as being entertained, it's hit or miss. hopefully it will be a good show for you. personally i quit paying to see them after the last snooze fest i went to.

don't really know what to expect.

Copious amounts of underage drinking and backwards baseball hats. Maybe a couple nitrous tanks ...if you're lucky;)

Tough to knock the band though. They've been going at it hard for years and continue to be one of the best live acts in the world. I can't stand them but I can't deny their talent at the same time

    have a good time!

Well....Let me just say I won't be spending my money on DMB tickets again. They are very talented musicians, but they're just not what I'm looking for in a live show. Is Dave always that quiet, as in hardly any crowd interaction? Or did I just catch him on a shy night?

On the flipside. Willie Nelson was incredible!

They're either hit or miss, and it pisses me off. They have so much potential. They're set at Rothbury was un-fucking-believable. I saw them at Blossom 2 nights ago and they were still pretty good, it was a little slower though and I like their upbeat material. 'Central Park' & Live Trax 3 are two of my favorite live albums ever. They have the material to put on one of the best live shows out there, but they neglect a LOT of it (Last Stop, Pig, Warehouse).

They have Tim Reynolds with them this year, so this tour is the best I've heard them play - most say the best since 2003/2004.

You shouldn't be disappointed. They busted out a cover of "Burning Down The House" last night...can't wait to get my hands on that. They also play "Sledgehammer" which is so much fun.

He doesn't really talk that much live. He just comes out and plays. They don't really listen to the fans much (look at what most fans want in a setlist vs. what they play), but he still puts on a great show. He's always been very shy - doesn't talk much, even to the media. He was a little talkative at Rothbury, but every other time I've seen him (5) he's been quiet.

You do have to realize we're alittle spoiled with Eddie's rants ;)

Yeah, Burning down the House sounded awesome. And WIllie Joined them on Grave Digger which was also a highlight. I enjoyed some of the drum and guitar solos, but I could have done without the 12+ minute sax solo, and the Violin solo.

I haven't seen him since 1996. I was big fan back then (then dropped it like a hot potato all of a sudden) and I thought the shows were kinda boring.
