Buying "For Emma...Forever Ago" was the best $15 I've spent on a CD in a long time.

Hey, earlier I was listening to the First Lady of France's smokey lounge-pop chanson album. That's got to be worth obscurity points just for being so utterly surreal, right?
Listening to Husker Du's Eight Miles High right now, hopefully soon to be listened to on lovely 7" vinyl thanks to our very own Trixie

You're mental
I got the first 3 Rainbow albums on cd today...that's as obscure as I go. I fight for the honour of classic rock to the death....I laugh in the face of being labelled a cheese lover!....Take a truck load of Husker Du, or them Arsehole surfers if you like, I'll keep my Rainbow albums anyday .

Dude, Husker Du were just a pop band Even at their most punk, they were just hiding 60s pop songs under tons of distortion. I mean, watch this:
Nothing weird about them. I dislike the Butthole Surfers too. I'm actually opposed to weird-for-the-sake-of-weird music, believe it or not.
