I have done that for both boys. They love all music. My 2 almost 3 year old loves jazz. He got his first guitar for Christmas. It's pretty cute. Although I think he will play piano instead. My youngest, almost 6 months old loves to have music playing when he eats. My husband plays guitar and both boys love to listen to him play.

That sounds amazing. That's what I want my family to be like. I play the guitar and can't wait to play for my kids. Actually my brother is having a kid and I am giving him/her one of my little acoustic guitars for a first gift, and Im gonna slap a PJ sticker on it! You sound like great parents, congrats.

Well a little bit about the guitar, make sure it's not one you cherish, because they will beat the crap out of it! My in laws were a little disappointed when they saw my son play leap frog with his! But he strums it every once in a while. My husband will be playing and my son will pull his out and pretend. But he seems to be more interested in the piano. We have an old organ that he loves to turn on and hammer away on. My friend has a keyboard that I can not get him away from, even though they wish he would leave it alone. There was also the time we were visiting someone in the hospital, in the main lobby was a baby grand piano. He was just about a year and he was all over that thing. The biggest smile. So it just leads me to think that is his calling, but I will let it just happen. No stress, I never want to be that parent that takes the fun out of anything. I just want him to be happy and be who he is going to be.
