Where have you been all of my life? And why have I only started listening to your brilliant, brilliant music in the last year or so?

Goddamn. I hate it when I do that. I feel like I have missed out on so much.

Bring on the Gutter Twins.
The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.

The man is a genius - as is Lanegan. I cannot wait for the Gutter Twins. Cant remember looking forward to a record coming out as much as this.

    love the Afghan Whigs.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
  • Yep the guy is damn near genius. What records have you heard?

'Gentlemen' I thought was great but was dissapointed by all his other music whether it be the whigs or twilight singers. Not sure what to expect from his collaberation with Lanegan, not sure If I see it working. seemed to me there was a missing ingredient when Lanegan got it on with Isobel Campbell though it was still pretty decent.

I am hoping the song "Number Nine" on the Twilight Singer's Blackberry Belle record is about what the Gutter Twins are going to sound like. That track is just fucking epic. If there are just a few songs that are half that good, it will be an impressive record.

  • there is fire in my belly whenever i hear a mention of the gutter twins, they need to wheel it out soon...

i have seen the twilight singers two or three times and they are excellent, creating a beautiful dream world. Course I loved the Whigs too,

and dulli's solo album 'amber headlights' is well worth checking out too...

lanegan and dulli are brilliant together, cant wait for it!!!

dulli rarely disappoints. gentlemen is probably my favorite album of his, but i find myself listening to songs from 1965 and uptown avondale more often. and i prefer the whigs' version of lost in the supermarket to the original. and unbreakable is the rare best-of that doesn't suck. just steer clear of the bonnie & clyde ep.
  • BUMP! Does anyone have the MP3 of Greg's version of Paper Thin Hotel? it was free on his website around xmas in 2014. I missed out and have been obbessed with his covers. Again, it was free, so I don't think I am asking anything inappropriate.
