?? don't have any except his last album, just wondering which is the best of the series. thanks a lot

    Wow that' s a tough question. I'm a huge Cash fan.

    Possible the first or third one. But still this is tough, they are all great.

    they're all good. the first one (american recordings) is great! second one (unchained) has tom petty and the heartbreakers as the backing band i believe. third one (solitary man) is awesome. fourth (the man comes around) has it's moments but i didn't enjoy it as much as all the others. fifth (a hundred highways) is decent.

    i need to get the Unearthed box. shit, maybe i shoulda put that on my Christmas list!!

    They're all awesome in their own ways, but the first one is my favorite, followed closely by American IV.

    Unchained (the second one) is still my favorite of the Cash on American albums. You can't beat Petty & the Heartbreakers as a backing band. Spiritual on that record is probably my favorite vocal performance of his. The peaks and valleys on that song are something else and, if you don't get chills on the one huge crescendo in that song, then you have no soul.
