I must say, upon first listens, it's not quite as immediately brilliant as Funeral. The songs just don't seem to have that same intensity, but I think it's much more of a grower because I just listened to it for the fourth time and it's getting better. Anyone else hear it yet?

My favorite song so far is (antichrist television blues)
"I'm a thief, and I dig it"

That song (antichrist television blues) has a Bruce Springsteen vibe to it.

I'm putting that lack of intensity down to the bit rate.

    Anyone seeing their newest tour?
Too many cowboys, not enough indians, so just go ape shit!

I may be boring but at least I'm not Jack fucking Johnson.

im still trying to figure out if anyone has heard or cares about the clap your hands say yeah album coming out tomorrow. ive heard nothing about it and no one is reviewing it.

I agree with you, I found it an easier first listen than the first time I listened to "Funeral". I think this one will grow on people

I'm gonna hold off and wait for the real thing....

BUT - just curious, how does the new version of No Cars Go sound....is it noticeably different

....can't wait to hear this album
In my world everyone is a pony,
and they all eat rainbows and pooh butterflies!
  • i'll wait cause the quality is kind of bad, and it's one of the first time they play these songs live, so it'll just be better to wait the official release, but i'm also in the can't wait side...

really love this album right away!! Yes it doesn't bring up the same feeling that 'Funeral' did but hey it's not a debut album experience anymore so f**k it! 'Black Mirror' starts the record really nice and slowly...

Really love every track on there from the slowness of the title song to the "energetic" 'Keep the Car Running' or 'Black Waves/Bad Vibrations'.. as said before: it is a real grower!!
