Know what pisses me off? How I can't get into "Stickly Fingers"

I can't explain it, it should be without a doubt my favorite Stones album, if not my favorite album ever. I love the muddy production on it. I love every song on it, but yet when I sit down to listen to the album, I can never seem to make it all the way through. Which sucks because like I said, if I listen to any of the individual songs, I love them. This has been going on for atleast three years!

  • And everytime I put it on, and Brown Sugar kicks in, I think I'm in for the bes musical experience ever, even though I know I hardly ever can sit through the whole thing.

Can you hear me knocking is my favorite Stones song by far. The rest of the album is a brown turd. I consider the album to be the Can you hear me knocking" single.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

You may be referring to a thread that I started where the name on the thread was a huge insult to the Stones and I went on and on bashing them. I was hoping the post explaning that thread would have explained it. There was this guy with the name Starf*cker who dogged me endlessly. Anytime I posted anything, he was there with his Debbie the Downer posts. He was especially negative about Zeppelin. He was very in love with the Stones, and very defensive about them. He got banned a long time ago. At the time I posted that thread, there was a guy that sounded just like Starf*cker, same negativity, same dogging. I was looking to see if that guy was him. He couldn't have resisted that thread I made. Like the dog in the movie Barnyard, he would have bit.

My take on the Stones... I like them, don't love them. I respect them for longevity, and the many good and even great songs they've done. No doubt, many of them classics. Based on my tastes, there is a lot of things they've done that I don't like. On the Sticky Fingers album in particular, I think Can you hear me knocking is one of the best songs that *anyone* has done. The rest of the album, I really dislike. Don't anybody argue with me on the merits of the rest of the album, you're wasting your time. I just don't like it, it's not my taste. Maybe one day. I keep giving Stupid Mop a try, and the same... I hate it. To me, Sticky Fingers is Can you hear me knocking plus Stupid Mop. Sorry if the words I used offended anyone. But I am not one of those people sniffing out Stones threads for the sake of taking a dump in someone's beloved punchbowl.

You're comparing Sway, Bitch, Dead Flowers, and Sister Morphine to Stupid Mop? How much crack do I have to smoke to get into that state of mind?

sister morphine and moonlight mile are great songs.....I love this album but it's hard to listen over and over. in fact, that's true about many stones albums.

I hate Avocados (the fruit, not the album), hate onions, hate meatloaf, dislike watermelon. I like cilantro, gefilte fish with horseradish, and like the smell of skunk. And I love S.O.S, Navy or Marines style. That's me. I'm not going to try to convince anyone to follow suit. To me, the rest of that album after Can you hear me knocking, might as well be Stupid Mop. Sorry. They have better albums. Can you hear me knocking is worth more than the price of the CD. That's why I have it.
