Going to see them at Cox Arena, San Diego. It will be the first time visiting that arena since witnessing one of the best Pearl Jam shows ever. Can't wait.

i've seen them once, at bonnaroo in 2005 and it was a great show... seeing them in two weeks in toronto, can't wait the new album is absolutely a gem

Totally agree with this. And for me it seems to tie in with the size of the venue. In a small venue this band totally puts on the show. I've seen them twice in a large venue and it was a trainwreck.
"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone
"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
seriously. youd think youd research that fact before going on a meaningless diatribe.

They aren't necessarily good in a small venue. It's a question of whether they've decided to really play or not. Maybe it's not being sober, but it seems like it's also the crowd.
yeah, theres no need to be a smartass, but i was wrong. a friend of mine is a huge modest mouse fan and he's going and he told me he was paying 85 dollars a ticket. i didn't feel the need to research because i figured he wasn't making it up. and yeah the caps were just for some extra effect......but seriously if they were charging 85 dollars a ticket that would be ridiculous, but i guess they're not. so whatever, my bad.
Since 03, I've seen them twice, and I thought the performances were ok, but it was really the lack of diversity in the set lists that disapointed me. When I saw them in November, they played a total of 2 songs pre-dating The Moon And Anarctica. Thats just not cutting it with me.
When you see me on the street, yell out "FAVO!!!"
I've been to alot of Pearl Jam shows; So fucking what.
i might be the only person who'd be ok with that. funny how it works though... if pearl jam played a setlist with only 2 songs prior to... say... no code, y'all would be creaming in your shorts.

what are you doing here then?
so they didnt even dip into moon & antratica eh?
does anyone want tickets to the chicago show? my gf and i are supposed to go sunday night, but since they are playing lollapalooza, we're wondering if it doesn't make sense to save ourselves the cash. im willing to sell for even less than i paid for them. they cost me $90. ill sell for $80 or best offer.
-my dad after hearing Not for You for the first time on SNL .
That being said, they still put out incredible studio albums, and I consider them to be one of my favorite bands. They just blow live.
