this is cool news for us pearl jam fans and music fans!! in case you haven't heard the doj approved the merger of sirius/xm today! Now we only need the fcc's blessing and i'll be able to listen to the best of both xm and sirius and only pay for one subscription.

This is awesome news and I am stoked! this is way cool for all of us fans of satellite radio. more choices and lower costs~~~everyone take the time if interested to email the fcc chairman and express how this will help us fans of music and actually have the option for lower prices down the road!!

This really has nothing to do with with Pearl Jam.
I shit and I stink. I'm real, join the club.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

Ch 24 on Sirius is the "flannel channel", or at least thats what they call it. They play a lot of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, etc..

Didn't members of Pearl Jam sign a petition or letter to FCC a few years ago regarding the monopolization of the airwaves by large media conglomerates?

I think PJ probably doesn't care much for their own cause. They're already an established name. But what are those up-and-coming bands supposed to use as outlets to get their music played on radio?

The internet is not necessarily the radio, although the two have become much more related.

Thanks for your revealing insight.

Sirius is purchasing XM. I don't see how having a Sirius lifetime subscription is going to screw anyone.

...unless I don't understand your concern.

If I could get Lithium 24 and Opie and Anthony I will be a very happy person.

as long as i get to keep my Left of center exactly the way it is with blog radio and jam on and the grateful dead channel and don't have to by a new stereo then things will be ok i guess.
I’ve seen Pearl Jam 25 times, Eddie Vedder 9 times, and Brad once.

don't forget the all grateful dead station! i know lithium does play a nice pj tune here and there, i really wish they would have specials and what not when they focused on either less known 90's band tunes or live concerts. I hear a lot of the same tunes.

This has nothing to do with Pearl Jam. Fuck satellite radio.

it has everything to do with pearl jam! i've been following pearl jam for a long time. both sirius and xm play pearl jam and in my part of da world no radio stations play pearl jam.

i was big into pearl jam and the other seattle bands when da came out. my first show was in the 90's. i even go as far back as 1995 when i was suppose to get to see pearl jam play in new orleans on da 4 th of july but we got hosed because of ticketmaster.

i decided when that happened and clear channel ruining am/fm as we knew it I would support anyone that played pearl jam and gave us music fans other options. that brings us to satellite radio which gives support to pearl jam and many other artist that can't get any airplay because of what clear channel has done to am/fm and unlike clear channel who has made billions of dollars!! sirius and xm have never even made a dime

and guess who one of da biggest opponents of sirius and xm merging? clear channel
