Silverchair

...is becoming one of my favorite bands. Their last 3 albums have been fucking amazing. Diorama alone is in my top 50 albums of all time. Any thoughts on this band?...How is everyone liking Young Modern?...I think that is a solid effort, too.
Is it so wrong to think that love can keep us safe?

Diorama is my favorite.

It's funny how different people's opinions of music can be. I think Incubus has gotten steadily worse with every album since SCIENCE. I think SCIENCE is one of the best albums ever made. Whereas with Silverchair, I agree....I think they keep getting better and better.

Edit: I do think they slipped a little bit with Light Grenades, however. ACLOTM is their best album in my opinion, and I can't wait to see what they come with next. Light Grenades is still a damn good record though.
Hope you had a great holiday.
You love Diorama but Young Modern was too experimental for you? That's odd. I think Diorama would be the harder album to get into because it is so experimental. Young Modern is just kick ass straightforward rock and roll. No crazy tunings or pianos, just driven guitar rock.

huh? there are only 2 songs on YM that I would consider Rock (Losing Sleep and Mindreader). the rest is very poppy and there is WAY too much Paul Mac all over the album. i like the album, but initially I was disappointed. it took a while to grow on me. Diorama on the other hand was brilliant from the get-go.
simply amazing band. and part of me loves that they dont have a huge following here in the states.

Have you thanked a taper today?
Great live band too..
Incubus: my three fav albums are Make Yourself , A Crow Left Of The Murder AND(!) Light Grenades. I am so happy I saw them twice in 2007 on their Grenades tour - it's been a pretty good era of theirs!
