Bonaroo clues for anyone who doesn't want to sort though thousands of posts
Sorry if this has bee done a thousand times, but I just got home from work!
So, reread Kat's post.
Tennessee's State bird is the mockingbird, and apparently, Manchester is part of an area called coffee county.
Also, Bonarroo radio gave a bunch of clues to who's playing. One of them was "Janis Joplin Preserves will be served" and Her nickname was Pearl. Plus Bonaroo is expected to announce their lineup this week. Possibly Tuesday...
Here were all of the clues:
"There is more than one Manchester..."
"Memphis is not Albany..."
"Clouds taste this way..."
"Some herrings taste red, Jimmy"
"Hard Substance, Soft Substance"
"It's not sour, what is sewed in the earth."
"Look to the center of Europe to get the sound, but the band comes from all around."
"Three certain birds add one"
"Janis Joplin Preserves will be served"
"Rumors are just rumors, but twist them sideways, grow your humor
The only other rumor that I've heard is that BB King might be playing, and he's from Albany. (#2)
And the Flaming Lips have an album called Clouds taste metalic (#3).
See you there!

Good call. They were there last year.
"It's not sour, what is sewed in the earth." Roots are sewed into the earth, and they played last year. But have no idea about the "sour" part

Yeah, but they wouldn't put it in twice. Maybe Iron and Wine.

There's huge rumours of Metallica...but they definitely don't fit in with the previous bands (Tool is the only somewhat related band, and they're more psychedelic and popular with the hippie crowd). The Flaming Lips do have an album called "Clouds Taste Metallic" - many people are thinking that this quote is directed at that.
Bonnaroo lineup is announced Wednesday morning. I think Pearl Jam just wants to keep it close to when everyone else is announced.
Somewhat pointed out the reference to 'Sugar Magnolia', and the Dead did just reunite (minus Billy) to play for Obama. Maybe a formation of Phil Lesh & Friends / the Dead / RatDog?

Obviously a reference to Jimmy Herring, but specifically to which one of his bands? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Herring
widespread would be my guess
You're probably right, though.
I would guess Oasis, they`re putting out a new album this spring. Morrissey got his greatest hits, but a new album isn`t finished until the fall I think
Dublin 06
London 07
The suspense is killing me!!!!!!!!

I'm listening to Bonnaroo radio right now, and they repeated this clue. But this time it was "Memphis ain't ILLbany." I hope this means the Beastie Boys will be there. A late night set from them would kick ass.
2008: MSG 1, Hartford, Mansfield 2, Ed Solo NYC 1
2009: London (O2), Philly 1, 2, 3, & 4
2010: Hartford, Boston, MSG 1 & 2
2011: Ed Solo Hartford
2012: Philly (MIA Fest)
2013: Worcester 2, Brooklyn 1 & 2, Hartford
They did. and I think that makes them more likely to play this year. I hope.
