When I was born, the doctor came out to the waiting room and said to my father, I'm very sorry. We did everything we could. But he pulled through......

the film itself was amazing... nice twist, and it does evoke a sense of fear and nausea when i was watching it.
i had no idea who did the music but i might check it out
i think you should do just that!!
calexico are one of the other bands that are in the soundtrack too, they are touring with a band called iron and wine who i suggest you try to see if they are in your area. fuckin quality band(well, one guy with an acoustic but the most haunting music you may ever hear!!)
quite like folky acoustic stuff if i'm in a mellow mood.. a la Damien Rice, etc. not James Blunt however :(
there was a scottish bunch of guys who played acoustic based stuff... i cant remember the name but it began with A... anyway guy came from my home town and their stuff was excellent.
edit: just remembered name of band:- AC Acoustics was the name... grand stuff

ha ha! dont mind some james blunt stuff, shame he now belongs to the masses.
calexico do a lot of soundtracky type stuff, very mellow,i seem to be at that age where i start listening to sensible acoustic music and wearing cardigans and slippers, might even start smoking a pipe, the old holburn always burns well!!
have heard of them but never heard the stuff, have to check it out, nice one man........!!
ahhh the old throatburn... nothing beats a bit of rough shag
i go through mellow stages now and again also... Mercury Rev, Beth Orton, Kings of Convienence... my pal in Southampton just gave me loads of copies of stuff that he recommended and i'm trying to wade through it..
Flaming Lips
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
The Earlies
Belle & Seb
Polyphonic Spree
to name but a few *phew*
they are the three ive heard, the new brmc album is quality and the flaming lips are good too. cant stand the polyphonic spree though, too happy if you ask me!!
as for the shag, cant beat it!(shame)i tend to go for the gv meself but the throatburn does the job when you want to feel like a proper smoker!!
