I will be if Portugal are still in the mix. I go to Nevada Smiths for most games.

    ninfan,
    Are you Portugese?
I was born in Portugal, but have been in Ny most of my life.
I too may be watching the game and am thinking about going somewhere to watch.

If you want to go see the matches at Nevada Smith's, I suggest getting there as early as possible. That place gets packed.

Will be there at 12:30. I hope its a rematch of Croatia vs Germany. I am Dutch fan but love to see Croatia make it to the finals. They with Romania are a breath of fresh air.

You can add another Croat to the mix, and I will be coming with a bunch of my friends

I hope we can ride a wave to the championship, should have won the '98 world cup, so this would be sweet

Right on! I saw your name on the pit a few times and always wondered does it have some connection with Croatia...see you at the shows, pre-parties and at the semi-finals :D
And also, feel free to post in our Pearl Jam in Zagreb thread...there's cool little Croatian PJ community in that thread...

I speak the language pretty well. Writing is a different story. I guess growing up I never had any use for it so I never learned. I'm going to do my best to make the pre parties, my brother is getting out of work late on Tuesday, so We might have to catch the train latter on. Wednesday looks like I'll be cutting it even closer.

MSG is gonna kick major ass

Well, there's gonna be 4 of us proud Croats (that we know of) at the show and we'll definitely have a Croatian flag or two with us so if you and your brother see us, come over and say hello!
We're sooo looking forward to it (almost the same as to winning the Euro :D)!

If you get to Nevada Smith's and it is packed, you can spill over to The Village Pourhouse. It is just a few doors down. I watched the Turkey/Czech Republic game there this past weekend. Great game and the people were into it.

But yeah, Nevada Smith's is the place.

  • Guys wish i remembered the bar but when I was in the city for the Ed Sullivan Theater show in 06 me and my friend walked into a crowded bar at like 2 o clock with a bunch of crazies watching an English match. That is why i love the city, also something you don't see everyday. They had awesome beers on tap too, and i can't for the life of me remember the name.

Nevada Smiths is not the only place to watch. It's the place I go to see Manchester United play so I perfer to catch other events like this at the same place. Willing to bet most bars in the city have ESPN and will show the games.

Like someone said Nevada Smiths gets very packed so if you plan on going you might want to arrive early. More then once I found myself heading down the street.
