OK, love STP....really great band. Saw them twice in 96....now it's 12 years later...many rehabs later...:) ...and to the folks who have bought tickets to see them on tour this year..............................you are in for a real treat. :)
My wife and I stood about 50 feet away, directly in front of the soundboard, and go figure, it was rainy like a mother...however...we both were very impressed. Weiland looks great, dressed up in a black (gangsta suit), sounds just as good or bad (your preference) as before, & hasnt lost his stage presence what so ever.
Before the show I made up a list of 15 songs I thought they would play. The only one I "missed" was Unglued. In it's place they played 2 songs from Shangri-La Dee Da. Other than that, here's the setlist, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER...

BIG EMPTY
LOUNGE FLY
SEX TYPE THING
LADY PICTURE SHOW
WICKED GARDEN
TRIPPIN ON A HOLE IN A PAPER HEART
DEAD AND BLOATED
BIG BANG BABY
PLUSH
DOWN
SOUR GIRL
CREEP
CRACKERMAN
INTERSTATE LOVE SONG
VASOLINE

Even though it rained all day, for $10, it was well worth it.
Congrats to STP, as it seems, they havent really lost a beat and I would recommend if you missed them the last time they were in town years ago, to go do yourself a favor a get a ticket to see them when they come in your neck of the woods.

  • Did you see their stone temples parked out back that they flew in on?

Or are they just lying about it?

We're going to miss then on our trip to the U.S. next month in Vegas by about 3 days :(

their last two albums kinda made me feel bitter, there were one or two good songs but as a whole I felt they'd gone way too mainstream and I'd heard the shit before.........hearing their major tunes again in recent times has reminded me dons

"We are not Guns n' Roses."

    Haha.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

I am still debating. You paid $10 wow, the tickets here are ridiculous at a minimum of $70 with all service charges. Not sure they alone are worth that.
