Any love for Eminem here?

I didn't like him at first, even though I'm from the Detroit area, but when I heard The Eminem Show I became a big fan.

Of course, I used to like Dre and all the gangsta rap back before I got into grunge, so it was natural that I eventually enjoyed Eminem.

He's a very talented rapper, his music is thought provoking, funny, and disturbing/offensive to some...but I respect him taking full advantage of his 1st ammendment rights. Though I could have done without the two songs on his latest studio album that included him puking and shitting throughout it. Good songs, but even I, who is impossible to offend, don't need to hear that.

Anyways, I'm just wondering if anyone else here enjoys him, or if you have to be either a die hard rap fan, or from Detroit to get him?

Thanks.

I used to really like him, especially the second album he did.
I even used to have a thing for him! :D

Not really into it now though.

I thought his first album was kind of original and funny. Then he repeated himself a few times.

    Eminems formula:

Funny Catchy Single + Dark Disturbing Single + Whiny Complainging Single (sometimes overally emotional single) + Legal Trouble or Feud of some sort on the news = $$$

Definitely a talented rapper but I tire of his antics.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?

His earlier stuff is ok, like role model and stuff like that, but after the marshall mathers lp i cant stand him. The stuff he has done with d12 like my band and purple pills is terrible, and people like that guy bizzare from d12 cant rap.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.
