Alcest - Le Secret

perhaps a shot in the dark, however if anyone has this little 'ol piece of heaven, if you could please give me your favorite release(s) of '08, that would be super.

It doesn't have to fit the whole shoegaze/black metal mode either. I am just using this disc as a barometer as it just happens to be my favorite thing going right now.

    This is my favourite of this year:- Patriarch's Blues - Victor Krummenacher. Nice jazzy blues arrangements of spiritual tunes from the slave trade and the American civil war. This music made me discover Bessie Smith and Louis Armstrong which I have never heard otherwise. What makes this album special to me is that I saw VK in the States performing with McCabe and Mrs Miller in a brilliant show.
