Betterman Intro

Does anybody know what kind of effects are used in that weird intro before betterman? It kind of sounds like an e-bow, but I'm not sure....

    Controlled feedback forguitar (from what I know). Basically, turn your gain up a bit, lightly remove your finger from a certain fret (or hammer on without picking) and you should eventually get some feedback from the sustain...at least, that's how I do it. The bass is clean.

    yeah, just sounds like bursts of harmonic feedback to me.
