Don't own one but have played one. I liked the thin neck on it and it was wicked fast. The action is super duper low and you don''t even have to think about pushing down on the neck. Felt good.

    Here's my first post haha

Aaron North (former guitarist for NIN) uses them almost exclusively on tour, just the 300$ model that looks like a cross between a strat and an SG
Also the guy from Panic at the Disco, but big whoop. I didnt think they were that expensive though....

North plays the F-20 or at least that style on stage, but as you can see on musicanfriend, they dont even have one more than like 800 and change....

If it's an original/vintage Hagstrom II, they can get a little pricey (although 1,200 seems high). You should check out a site like gbase.com. Also, I have heard good things about the f-20 model, and they are not ball breaking expensive.

Jake Cinninger used a Hagstrom Swede for a little while. Absolutely one of my favorite guitarists. If he's playing a $500 guitar, it must be a well-kept secret as far as quality for the $.

The American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis hosted a Hagstrom exhibit a few years ago.  I think they're cool guitars.  Seem well-made too.
